yeah, baby boy two is still an inside baby.
hey mamas of late babies, how come no one tells you that when you watch your due date come & go you feel so many other things besides impatient?? oh the amount of adjectives & emotions i could list... but i'm not going to.
instead i will merely be photo dumping a whole bunch of shots from the last week of things that have been occupying my time. since we've had lots of time to kill i've been finding myself taking my camera out a lot more & trying to capture these last few days alone with my number one.
there's been mischief & shenanigans just hanging around the house...
a mariner's game, where parker wanted nothing to do with my begging him to look at me & smile... seriously? ear plugging?
time spent at the lake running through the water & mud flinging:
feeding animals at our favorite cider mill & farm:
house guests who bring over super cute puppies:
more time at the lake with above-referenced houseguests playing in the water & drawing in the sand:
and one pregnancy related shot, me at 40w2d...
here's to another week of filling every minute waiting for boy two!
LOVE all these great shots! Fun how Parker is snuggled next to Bentley with his blanket wrapped around him... Many nice ways to pass the time!
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain (at least I did 21 months ago, ha!) Great pictures! I hope baby #2 comes soon . . . my advice, a chicken parmesan sub!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was 4 days overdue with my 2 year old, I took my two older boys to an indoor play place JUST so people would ask me when I was due, and JUST so I could say "four days ago." The looks on their faces made it worth the wait. He'll come!
ReplyDeleteOh, I feel your pain! I went to 42 weeks with my little man before being induced, and those last 2 weeks were horrible. The 40 week wait is long enough! Hang in there and good luck!
ReplyDeleteOh Zane's taking to plugging his ears when he doesn't want to hear what we have to say... It's driving me crazy!
ReplyDeleteMy little man was 7 days over and no matter how you rationale it, it still seems unfair! Keep on keeping on and just remember in less than a week you'll be seriously craving some alone time! good luck x
ReplyDeleteI remember that feeling all too well! But it will go by quickly! Of course hearing that doesn't help the fact that you want it to happen now, right? :)
ReplyDeleteHang in there, mama (trust me I KNOW you're sick of that too, but what else can I say!?) Braden was born at 40w4d I went into labor the evening of 40w3d. Book yourself a pregnancy massage and get her/him to really work reflexology for labor! I went into labor 2 hours after my massage and after a Chinese food supper! Heck, if it doesn't work...at least you get a massage, right!?
ReplyDeleteI had Brayden at 40 weeks and 2 days so I feel you! *HUGS* You can do this!
ReplyDeleteBoy, I know how you feel! I went to 41 weeks with my oldest, and it was toorrrtuuuuree. I tried all the tricks in the book, and he wasn't budging. Good thing is you know for sure you only have a couple more days, right? :)
ReplyDeleteOMG, the plugging his ears is just too much!
ReplyDeletethat ear plugging photo is beyond adorable and you look fabulous!

Sweet photos. I want that puppy. What kind of dog? I will be praying baby boy #2 makes his appearance soon!
ReplyDeleteAww, great pics. Looks like you're having a nice last few weeks before baby comes! I know how you feel, my daughter was born at 42 weeks and 3 days... It was probably the most agonizing, emotional time in my entire life!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! Love the ear plugging.
ReplyDeleteI hear you on late babies, my second was 41 weeks 5 days. He will come though!
He's so adorable and you will treasure this time one day looking back!! I love that earplugging shot...teenager tendency showing (though it would be earbuds stuck in their ears not fingers)
ReplyDeleteI was a week late with Peanut and omg the list of emotions just grew and grew with every day.
ReplyDeleteHis ear plug shot it too cute :)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter was 4 days late and it was torture. At least you have a busy little man keeping you busy andplusalso? You look GREAT!
That shot of Parker and the puppy just kills me. Hang in there, mama!
ReplyDeleteOh my! Go you! :) #2 here was 2 weeks early so I can't compare but I'm thinking of you as you await the arrival of your precious little man! :) Looking forward to seeing pics and finding out what you've called him! All the best for a beautiful labour/birth! xx
ReplyDeleteThese are such exciting times...I'm a few weeks away and so anxious and excited myself...glad I can relate!
