I'm Ashley, and I blog over at The Shine Project.

I created The Shine Project at the beginning of this year to motivate others to go after their goals, and spread their light to others. I believe that service is the best way to feel happiness and love in our lives, and I created SHINE necklaces to help remind us of our daily purpose.

Money from each necklace sold goes into a scholarship fund to help inner city high school students go to college. You can read more about that HERE and HERE. The Shine Project is in the process of becoming a Non-Profit organization so that thousands more students can have a positive future.

    What a fantastic organization! I would give a necklace to my mom, my friend/old wedding photographer, and I would save one for my little girl that's due in March!

    I'd give Shine necklaces to some of the women at my local pregnancy resource center. The ones who go in thinking their pregnancies have ruined their lives, only to look at their precious children 9 months later and understand they are holding their new life. Those women have a reason to shine.

    Honestly, I would keep one for myself. Sometimes I need some motivation and I'd give one to aunt. She's going battling cancer right now and needs reinforcement and motivation. This would always remind her that I'm there.

    Seriously, what a great project!! What an inspiration. I would give a shine necklace to my g/f Kiara. She really is an amazing girl and makes everyone around her happier. And.. she's been through a lot lately so I think it would be awesome!

    I'd give one to each of my friends. They're ALWAYS there for me when I feel like I'm falling apart. They all have their own battles that they're fighting & they do it with such grace. Their inspiration is without limits. Ahem, I'd also keep one for myself. ;) A girl needs a reminder of what she can do herself too! =)
