this is getting comical. and awesome.

i set out to get a picture of me & p-ray for facebook the other day.  just one decent picture was all i wanted... preferably with us both looking at the camera, smiles would be a bonus.  what i got was about 30 pictures of me wrestling with a squirmy little boy.  here's a few of 'em:


is there any way to choose all eight for my profile pic?  because i would.  it's real life.  which one would you choose?  i ended up picking one... see if you can guess which one.

it's ironic how as parker presents more & more new challenges, he becomes more & more fun at the same time.  funny how they're designed that way.  on the same day as a hair-pulling-face-scratching tantrum, he randomly gives me a big smooch & hug for no reason.  in the same hour as a back-arching-screaming-at-the-top-of-his-lungs messy diaper change, he'll walk up to me with a book in his hand & climb into my lap for a story.

i really like the stage we're in right now.  we have a great routine, parker can communicate what he wants most of the time, & he's just so dang fun.  so if anyone has figured out how to freeze time, just let me know ok?

    Ahhh, Amy, this post had me literally laughing out loud! I'm not laughing at your struggle to get one decent picture...I'm laughing because I've been there, done that (wait...actually, STILL doing that!). We say every stage is our favorite with Ellie...and then the next stage she gets to, we decide THAT one is our favorite stage! It just gets better and better!

    So cute! I do that with my son all the time. I only have a few where we are both looking at the camera and smiling. But I think the candid pictures are so cute!

    oh Amy! i feel the same most days!!! i am so thankful that you guys are like 6 months ahead of us because on days when it's so tough i feel like i might just have to give up to save us all from my insanity, you post something like this and it gives me hope and i glimpse the future in such an awesome way :)
    MY pick is #5 with a runner up of #4 because those two just capture the ridiculousness of trying to pin a toddler down for even 5 seconds :)

    #5 for sure, but they are all awesome! We just did a vlog for tomorrow and Brees was totally out of control, I was seriously wrestling her the entire time!! These babies have places to go and people to see!

    This is exactly where I'm at with Mason right now!!! He's all smiles, you break out the camera and he goes into serious mode and can't be still for anything.

    I am so with you. If I could freeze time I would, even if I can't get a good pic of my kids! I really like 3 so that's my guess. :)
