there actually was a time when i swore i would never put pictures on my blog of parker in his high chair with food all over his face. i don't know who i swore that to, but i'm pretty sure it was said. i swore i wouldn't do it because i get all antsy when parker's messy. but it's something i have to get over. i hate stains on his shirts, dirt on his pants, or smudges on his face.
as a mom of an adventurous little boy, i'm working on it.
see? here i am posting pictures of my messy kid who decided that taking big gulps of his milk & then letting it dribble down his chin would be a great idea. so much that it totally pooled under his chin & sat on his chest & collected in the pocket in his bib.
your kid does this, right?
vote vote vote. please?
Aaawww, he's having fun! I love the milk in the bib pocket:) I feel the same way, I like the girls to be so clean and neat, but it's not always that way. They are beautiful kids regardless and we get over it i suppose.
ReplyDeleteYep - All kids are uninhibited in the messy department - little girls, too. ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha, yes mine do as well. Funny, but my oldest girl actually turned out to be the messiest. Thought for sure it would be our boy, but nope!
ReplyDeleteLOL! I totally needed that this early in the morning. My kiddo hasn't ever had a "pool of milk" below his chin, but he ALWAYS has food stuck somewhere on his body. Also when he's crawling around and he finds food I didn't see fall to the ground (who knows how long its been there), he will go, "Hmmmm" and eat it.
ReplyDeleteYes, the boy totally does this. He also likes to stick food down his shirt and smash it in his hair. on purpose.
ReplyDeletei love the pool of milk. liam is the same way with food, i'm pretty sure that it gets everywhere except his mouth. parker is beyond cute...but you know that ;)
ReplyDeleteHe really does love that milk doesn't he?!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally paranoid over a messy kid too...but it's sooooo cute! I'm loving the milk face! And it looks like he is too :)
ReplyDeleteLOL Yep. Noah used to do that. And the nasty, sticky milk mess made me antsy, too. At least they are cute, right? :)
ReplyDeleteoooow he's sooooooo cuteeeeeee!!!!!

xx kisses!! u have a funny baby ;)
Oh Yeah! Now that I'm on messy boy #2, I'm starting to get over it. O actually puts his fingers in his mouth to pull out food to wipe it all over his face & hair. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteCharlie does that too...DRIVES ME NUTS. He totally knows HOW to use a sippy, just chooses to let most of the milk flow back out. But if it makes you feel better he doesn't do it quite as much anymore...so there is hope. I hate having a messy baby too!
ReplyDeleteI love the milk in the pocket. Too cute!
ReplyDeleteCami totally does this too and I've decided to not let it bug me as much as possible. I let her eat in her pjs and then change her for the day, try to keep her clean for lunch, and then let her go at it for dinner and if it's really bad, then bath time! You should have seen her after driving home this morning. That teething biscuit was EVERYWHERE!
ReplyDeleteHaha, yep. The best is when it's chunks of soupy vegetables that slip under the bib and get all over the bare skin. I'm like you- I hate when Niall gets all messy. Dirt doesn't really bother me, but food does. But I guess we gotta roll with it :)
ReplyDeleteLOL - I am exactly the same way. I was at teh park today and some toddler's kids clothes were all dirty and messy and her face was all dirty, and yes....I judged, lol. I admit it (even though my kids were off eating dirt, I'm sure)
ReplyDeleteok good. i'm glad we're not the only ones who bought our boy that pink & green straw cup :) i love your photography.
ReplyDeleteThe 'Milk Pool' is KILLING me! LOL. And yeah, they only get messier as they get older. Wait until you experience 'toddler poo'. Fun times. ;)
ReplyDeleteLandon is so messy when he eats anything. I used to be the same when it came to him being dirty and messy. I've learned that it's so much easier to just let him be and when he is done then I can clean him up.
ReplyDeleteHahaha that is too cute. If you've kept your little man clean all this time then you are a miracle worker!
ReplyDeletehe is SO ADORABLE!!!! messy face & all! seriously such a sweet face. love him! great pictures as always, mama. <3
ReplyDeleteLOL that is awesome!! What an adorable mess he made!! LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteha! pretty sure my lil' guy does the exact same thing! the clean up is awesome!
ReplyDeleteOMGosh that's too funny, so adorable too!
