on car shopping & a really good laugh.

hello interwebz.  i've missed you.

we're still out of town & life still isn't quite back to normal yet.  these last few days have been filled with more family time & the such as.  but can i just take a minute to tell you about something i dislike?

car salesmen.

or, at least the ones we visited today.  seriously, talk about the run around.  we walked into a dealership today & were passed onto a new salesman three different times.  you know, the ol' "here's my manager he's gonna help you from here..." routine.  bizarre-o.  how hard is it to tell a guy exactly what you want & for them to tell you if they have it or not?  turns out it's pretty difficult.  and no, i don't want this other car for this other price.  no, i don't want to buy this base model & have you add more features to it for $5,000.  i just want to know if you have the car i want.  is that so hard?  apparently.

blech.  i'm currently preparing for day number two of it tomorrow.

and i have to figure something out quick because we have to return our rental car wednesday night.  so you know... there's that.

anywho, it's not all bad.  i think we're getting closer to what we want & have a list of three or four more dealerships to try.  i really hope to unveil the new wheels on wednesday.  cross yer fingers.

on another note, i've had a lot of people ask about the status of parker's carseat he was in during the accident.  yes, it has been replaced.  and actually, the cop on the scene of the accident wouldn't even let sam take it out of the car since it's now considered unsafe.  and yes, insurance is reimbursing us the cost of having to buy a new one.  so that's good.
