it was a gorgeous day here in the pnw. the kind where you look out the window & say "...ooooh, the sun is out & i'm gonna rock some flip flops." and then you put them on, go outside, & your toes want to fall off. because it's barely forty degrees out & you were totally deceived by that strange bright thing in the sky since it rarely comes out around here this time of year.
but when it does, you gotta take advantage... even if it means frozen toes.
i headed outside in search of something blooming & pretty to take pictures of. the closest thing i found was some fake flowers inside my house. but aren't they pretty? i posted bigger, prettier shots of these happy flowers on my photo blog. and yes, they are happy. i know this because i can't look at them without feeling good about life. it's true.
anywho, parker has been doing some pretty hilarious things lately. he's totally discovered his tongue & some of its talents. i mean, he's always blown raspberries but now he's taking it up a notch. we're talking noises that would make a whoopee cushion blush. loud, juicy, wet ones. oh yeah, you know the ones.
this kid cracks me up. every day he is funnier than the last & i can't wait to see what he does tomorrow. i am so lucky to get to be his mama.
also? i'm so lucky to get your votes. i really do love them.
beautiful photos! nothing wrong with fake flowers, as long as they are pretty like yours! that Parker has a super cute tongue!!
ReplyDeleteI started cracking up out loud at work, because I thought those were real flowers and when I read your post. I cracked up. That is the sweetest thing "I am lucky to be his mama.." AWE!! Love the sky pic. Parker has the funniest expressions. I am so glad your catching them on camera LOL. Oh and did not know you had a photo blog..Will follow w/my 2 emails =)) Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteoh yeah, I start wearing my flip flops as soon as the snow is gone and I wear them until it comes back. People think i'm nuts but we have snow from October til April so I need to take advantage while I can!
ReplyDeletethat is so funny! wyatt has never blown raspberries! how do they even learn to do that?!
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of camera do you use? I need something that is going to capture our sweet babe like this!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous sky shot! And a great photo documentary of Parker's tongue talents - so thankful you are home with him! xoxo
ReplyDeleteYou could of fooled me that they were real. Although I live in the PNW so I would know there's none blooming. We live up by the tulip fields and I'm patiently waiting for those guys to finally start blooming! :) Haha We got out yesterday too and played in the backyard, we had total cabin fever!! Too cute your little guy has found his tongue! The noises they make are so entertaining!
ReplyDeleteHa. I love hearing other baby stories - makes my kid seem a little less crazy (hehe)
ReplyDeleteDude, at least for us, the tongue thing never ends, its just added upon. For instance....now we still have the tongue...but with an added finger up the nose.
ReplyDeleteGotta love having a boy :) (really, I sooo do!)
Oh, and yesterday was a flip flop day for me too....well....for the 10 minutes I was outside. It was lovely and I was wanting me some sunshine. And then theres today....(and since I know we don't live that far apart....like not at all....I'm guessing its raining at your house too)
ReplyDeleteI'm usually in flip flops by march every year...rain or shine....my toes get cabin fever.
Pie loves her relatively newfound tongue control. She loves the raspberries (especially against her own palm...weirdo) and she likes to poke it out and flip it over. It cracks me up!
ReplyDeleteHa ha babies are funny. Bennett went through a phase when he was about the same age as Parker where he stuck his tongue out constantly! (I act like Bennett's so much older than Pray, ha ha). Anyway... I didn't like it, but it made for funny pictures! :)
ReplyDeleteBrayden does the same thing. LOL. Voted!
ReplyDeleteHaha it's funny how just the sight of the sun around here makes people a little giddy :) I rushed Ellie and I off to the park yesterday morning just because the sun was out! (we about froze to death, but the fresh air was so worth it!)
ReplyDeleteAnd Parker with his little tongue sticking out is just too cute!
You ARE a lucky mamma! Your kid is so adorable.
ReplyDeleteAww! What a silly munchkin! Parker's getting cuter by the day!
ReplyDeleteI love that every picture of Parker is with his tongue sticking out! YAY for new discoveries!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos! :)
ReplyDeleteParker is too cute with that crazy tongue. Elliot has just started blowing a lot of bubbles and I think it's adorable!
Could he get any cuter???
ReplyDeleteHa! At least he's a boy, Mia makes those same noises and it's so unladylike! ;) He is precious! xo
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures of the orange ( even fake) flowers next to the blue blue sky! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteAww. So cute!
