we had a busy weekend & i took LOTS of pictures. again, i'm keeping this short & sweet so i can keep crossing things off my to-do list... ya know, like brush my teeth & get dressed. i really want to try & get parker to the mall for a santa pic today. we shall see.
we headed down to portland for the weekend to hang out with sam's sister & her husband jason. we always have a good time with these two & this weekend was no exception.
after we hit up some red robin for those delicious bottomless steak fries {who doesn't like those?} we drove around to check out christmas lights. jason took us to one of those houses that is set to music you listen to on the radio. it was awesome & weird all at once. pretty extreme. and awesome.
on saturday, parker & i got to go to rauri's first birthday party! she probably looks familiar, she's the paper mama's super cute little girl. we had a blasty blast eating cake, playing with toys, & blowing out of our diaper. well, that last one was just parker. good times.
on sunday, we participated in what i like to call "gingerfest 2010." has a nice ring right? we made gingerbread houses with some of our favorite people. it was my first gingerbread house making experience ever. although, sam's inner engineer came out & he pretty much made ours all on his own... i may or may not have spackled a graham cracker or two but he was definitely the mastermind behind our ski lodge.
ours is the second from the bottom on the left. good job sam.
and that was our weekend. gotta love some holiday haps.
also, be sure to check out our newest sponsor "sweet dreams baby bedding." in jennifer's brand new etsy shop, you'll find super cute custom crib sets, hooded baby/toddler towels, & other custom handmade items. stay tuned for a giveaway from sweet dreams baby bedding & lots more listings added in her shop in the near future!
don't forget to vote. it's probably the easiest thing you'll do all day. two clicks, that's it.
looks like you had fun at ruari's party. it looks like you guys have been so busy this past weekend.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun weekend! I've never made a gingerbread house either.. I guess that will happen when a kid comes along :)
ReplyDeleteLove the gingerbread houses! So cute! :)
ReplyDeleteWow, that house really went all out with the Christmas decorations! :)
I love the pics from Ruari's party...ADORABLE!
I'm so jealous you made a gingerbread house!! I'm not allowed because it usually ends with me in tears covered in icing and broken graham crackers... Looks like ya'll had a great weekend!!! Those houses that coordinate their lights to music kind of freak me out- like how many hours does that take?? Who has that much time??
ReplyDeleteThe picture collages are wonderful~~I love the gingerbread fest!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Rachel
What a fun weekend!! I have to admit, I'm jealous of a lot of things you did!! Bennett and I really wanted to come to Ruari's bday party!! It looked so awesome! AND we're jealous of those gingerbread houses. I haven't made one of those for YEARS!!
ReplyDeleteLove the gingerbread houses! And we also have one of those radio/light houses in town...and I agree it's amazing and odd all at the same time. :)

ReplyDeleteSo fun! I just love decorating Gingerbread houses!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys had a fun weekend! Don't you love how babies always seem to have diaper blowouts at the most inconvenient time?
ReplyDeleteI love that - "Gingerfest 2010!" I want to start scheming designs for next year. We decided we're glue-gunning it so we can spend more time decorating. By the way, Tim's honored to have made your blog. :)
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are so lovely! Looks like a fun time!
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to make a real gingerbread house. I was tempted to cheat and buy one of those pre-built kits from Target, but I think I'll just do some research and make the real thing (next year).
ReplyDeletewhat a really fun weekend you had! i love it! parker is so roly poly, i love it. i always think about how happy and cute he looks when i go to your blog. :)
