flashback friday: las vegas.

it's a little ironic that last week i reminisced back to sam's mission & today we're taking a trip to sin city.  nonetheless, it's what this week's edition of flashback friday is gonna be all about.

spring break 2005.  i hit the road with sam & two friends ben & ryan.  back when i was "one of the boys."  pretty rough, huh?

we hit up the top of the stratosphere & rode on the "big shot."  you know, the thing that shoots you straight up in the air & then drops you at a free fall back down.  keep in mind this all goes down on the top of the stratosphere... on the top of all 1,000+ feet of it.

scurrriest thing i'd ever done up to that point in my life.  & then i had a baby.  yeah... scurrier.  

as with any typical rode trip, there were all sorts of crazy antics along the way.  random souvenirs from middle-of-nowhere convenience stores {"son of happiness" t-shirt}, pillow sharing in the back seat, & lots of photo-ops.

this was about as care-free of trips as they come.

we visited the famous studio 54.  ryan & ben opted to go there one night while sam & i scoped out the city.  they weren't flocked by near as many girls as they'd hoped, & really only ended up with a couple of $10 red bulls to show for their night.  still worth it, apparently.

good times.

& in keeping in the realm of a "baby blog" & to bring us all back to present day where my life isn't all about shenanigans, cheap hotels, casinos, & road trips anymore, here are a couple token p-ray pics. 

who doesn't like a chubby post-bath-baby in a monster towel, anyway?  yeah, living in the present is pretty good too.
